The Challenge

In France, more than 270,000 people live with the Parkinson’s disease and thousands of new cases are diagnosed every year. The disease remains largely unknown by the masses, as more than seven out of ten French people believe that it is a condition one can live with quite well and, above all, that it is not fatal. France Parkinson wanted to correct a misconception: the disease is not limited to tremors. The challenge was to make this reality perceptible without cliché or medical illustration.

The Solution

The creative response is a film built around a simple metaphor: being trapped inside one’s own body. Art direction plays a central role, gradually transforming a realistic space into an oppressive organic environment. The film remains emotionally accurate, visually ambitious and respectful to those affected. By turning a neurological condition into a sensory experience, it allows audiences to feel Parkinson rather than simply understand it.
