The Intentional Typo

Centraal Beheer,
Netherlands

The Challenge

Talking about small business insurance rarely captures attention, so we needed an idea that would make the entire country look. The insight was simple and rooted in behavior. People instantly notice and share mistakes, especially when they involve something iconic. We turned this into a bold creative leap. By misspelling PSV as PVS in one of the most recognizable football stadiums, we created a subtle but powerful disruption in a place where perfection is expected.

The Solution

At the start of the new year, a New Year message placed on the stadium of PSV featuring a subtle typo reading PVS instead of PSV sparked nationwide attention. What appeared to be a simple mistake quickly spread across social media, influencers, online communities, and major news outlets, even reaching national television. The typo became a topic of debate across the country, generating massive earned media and turning one placement into a big campaign. As curiosity and speculation peaked, the truth was revealed. The typo was intentional, designed to show how small mistakes can have big consequences for entrepreneurs.
